THE MARTHA OLSON-FERNANDEZ FOUNDATION X THE ALSA GOLDEN WEST CHAPTER
The Martha Olson-Fernandez Foundation is proud to assist those with limited financial resources fighting amyotrophic lateral sclerosis on the Central Coast of California. Our collaboration with the ALS Association Golden West Chapter ensures the foundation’s funds go specifically to ALS patients in need of transportation and funding for treatment clinics, medical supplies, alimentation, durable medical equipment, or augmentative alternative communication devices (AAC). The regional care managers at the ALS Association ensure that the monies in the Martha Olson-Fernandez Foundation Fund go directly to ALS patients and families with the most need.
Thank you very much to Fred Fisher and Cherryl Goldstein of the Golden West Chapter for making this collaboration possible.
Our most recent collaboration has been with Hound and Hammer shoes. Their modern classic men’s shoes are luxurious! Sean Ryan, founder of Hound and Hammer, generously donated 20% of their sales at the end of 2017. Thank you Sean! We look forward to more fundraising opportunities with Hound and Hammer.
The Martha Olson-Fernandez Foundation and The ALS Association strongly encourage those living with ALS to please register with the ALS registry by clicking the headline above. The registry, run by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), serves as a database for demographic information about ALS patients. If you have ever wondered how many ALS patients live near you or what ethnic group is more predisposed to the disease this is a helpful tool to compile more information on the disease.
